Comparative Genome Search
You may use this search function to find orthologous genes (determined by reciprocal best BLAST) that are present in one set of genomes and absent in another set.
You may use this search function to perform comparative analyses of orthologous genes (determined by reciprocal best BLAST)
in order to:
1) Find orthologs present in one set of genomes (e.g. two or more strains selected from left box)
1) Find orthologs present in one set of genomes (e.g. two or more strains selected from left box)
- Example:
You would like to find all orthologous genes that are present in BOTH B. cenocepacia J2315 and B. cenocepacia HI2424
-
Steps:
a) Select B. cenocepacia J2315 and B. cenocepacia HI2424 from the left box
b) Click on submit.
- Example:
You would like to find all orthologous genes that are present in BOTH B. cenocepacia J2315 and B. cenocepacia HI2424 but NOT present in B. cenocepacia AU1054.
-
Steps:
a) Select B. cenocepacia J2315 and B. cenocepacia HI2424 from the left box
b) Select B. cenocepacia AU1054 from the right box
c) Click on submit.
- Example:
You would like to find all genes in B. cenocepacia J2315 that do not have orthologs in B. cenocepacia AU1054.
-
Steps:
a) Select B. cenocepacia J2315 from the left box
b) Select B. cenocepacia AU1054 from the right box
c) Click on submit.
